The Power of the Healthy Voice

The Speech Studio is dedicated to nurturing the healthy voices of individuals in a professional environment that is creatively stimulating and highly energized.

In this rapidly developing technological society, we have become accustomed to various tools of communication that limit the freedom and use of the voice.   For example, Internet chat rooms, instant web messaging, and emoticons.

It is now more important than ever for us to focus on the purpose and the power of the voice. Specialized training in the art of speaking provides the foundation for individuals to develop vital communication skills that they can use in all aspects of their lives.

These skills result in the ability to convey messages that:

  • Empower individuals
  • Stimulate the senses
  • Stir the imagination
  • Express ideas and emotions

The Art of Speaking

Lessons at The Speech Studio focus on developing effective speaking and performance skills.

Training in effective communication develops skills in the art of speaking by focusing on the ability to communicate information with creativity and confidence.

Training in speech arts and drama develops skills in the art of speaking by focusing on the ability to interpret and perform literature and drama, while exploring the physical connection to the voice.

Each student at The Speech Studio progresses through a carefully designed, individually tailored curriculum that meets his or her own needs and abilities, and enhances each one's unique vocal quality and personality.

Private and semi-private lessons are offered for 30-, 45-, and 60-minute time slots.   Various introductory small-group programs are offered throughout the year.
