A Vocal Invitation to Readers Theatre

A Vocal Invitation to Readers Theatre, by Shirley Konrad, Owner and Director of The Speech Studio, was released in the fall of 2001. Although it focuses on developing the child's voice in the classroom, parents and students will find it very useful in enabling them to discover their own vocal instrument.  The book explores techniques to enhance the expressive quality of the voice, and focuses on the impact of the voice on the listener. It guides children, parents and teachers through creative, fun, and stimulating experiences with words.

It is highly recommended that new students, in particular, purchase this book. Parents will have greater insight into the work that we do, and will understand the relationship and necessity of the techniques explored and developed in class. Alim Merali, a former student and faculty member at The Speech Studio, has authored a book on debate.
